Global Travel Industry Network (GTIN) is a volunteer operated organization created by seasoned travel industry BDM's for travel suppliers (including tour operators, cruise lines, hotels, resorts, and tourist boards) who desire to maximize their overall reach to the travel advisor community by the most affordable means for the best possible ROI.
The grass-roots mission began in 2021 as a result of the pandemic and the disruption that it caused with in-person business interactions. A small group of travel supplier BDMs, who shared a common desire to spread their respective brands' awareness through partnership opportunities and product options to professional travel advisors in Texas and Oklahoma in a straight forward, affordable and cost-effective way, came together for two city-by-city roadshows with a unique engagement format. What started out with 8 BDM's visiting 5 cities has grown to 12 roadshows, 11 states, 33 cities and 188 BDM's representing 101 travel suppliers!
The roadshows, each known as "GTIN Travel Suppliers Showcase" is a one day, open-house style meeting event that travel advisors are invited to come and talk with travel suppliers during a 3-hour period. The format, one that's been coined as a "mini office visit", is casual but focused 10 - 15 minute seated conversations in a comfortable environment. Due to the format and time for the meeting event, each show date is limited to 25 travel suppliers.
